Month Of Rajab

Peace, blessings and mercy of Allah be upon youDear Community members 
Alhumdulillah,Allah the most Merciful, granted us the sacred month of Rajab, which is the 7th month in islamic calendar 
Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم never prayed for his longer life!In fact, he’s Dua used to be:”اللهم إني أعوذ بك أن أُرَدَّ إلى أرذل العمر”،O Allah, I seek Your refuge, from turning into age of humiliation (the old age, of dependence upon people)

روى عبد الله بن الإمام أحمد في “زوائد المسند” (2346) والطبراني في “الأوسط” (3939) والبيهقي في “الشعب” (3534) وأبو نعيم في “الحلية” (6/269) من طريق زَائِدَة بْن أَبِي الرُّقَادِ قَالَ: نا زِيَادٌ النُّمَيْرِيُّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا دَخَلَ رَجَبٌ قَالَ: “اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِي رَجَبٍ، وَشَعْبَانَ، وَبَلِّغْنَا رَمَضَانَ”
و رواه البزار في مسنده ( مختصر زوائد البزار للحافظ 1/285، 402) من طريق أحمد بن مالك القُشيري عن زائدة به .
وكذلك رواه ابن السني في عمل اليوم والليلة (659) من طريق ابن منيع ، حدثنا عبيد الله بن عمر القواريري به . 

قال الشيخ أحمد البنا في بلوغ الأماني (9/231) : وفي حديث الباب زياد النميري أيضا ضعيف ، وأورده السيوطي في الجامع الصغير وعزاه إلى للبيهقي في شعب الإيمان وابن عساكر ، وأشار إلى ضعفه ، وله طرق أخرى يقوي بعضها بعضا .

Even though, the above Hadith is weak, through ISNAAD, narrators, but so many chains of narrators strengthening one another! Also, Scholars of Hadith used to rely upon weak Ahadith for all types of virtues:Fazaa’il, Zikr, Dua, Nawafil…etc.
Yes,Hadith scholars, do not accept weak Hadith in Halal and Haram matters, or in Aqa’aid of Islam
Translation of the Dua:O Allah bless us (prolong our lives), during the months of Rajab and Sha’abaan, O Allah, allow us to catch Ramadhan
